Review of the book Maharani By Ruskin Bond / Everything bee knows

After reading his book Time stops at Shamli I became a fan of Ruskin Bonds writing style. The book cover is really fancy and will definitely attract a girl who's more into gossip or a socialite type person. Whereas I’m nothing like that still it fascinated me. Completed in 2 days or so in between my exam preparation lolz(thats how i study). Appearance wise looks big but the content matter on a page was less due to huge margins, not a huge con though.

h.h. maharani by ruskin bond

This story is fiction as Ruskin mentions and narrated by him. He is a character in the story and talks about his friend Maharani H.H. (Her Highness) who was a widow with a totally dysfunctional family both of her sons wanted to kill her for property and money
. She is shown as a person who follows her own way of living life on her own terms and rules She was a woman who didn’t want to die in hospital bed. That’s how antique she was lolz. She is always stuck up in some kind of controversies and affairs. She had a lot of weird stories about how her husband the king died by getting consumed by his own pets  and early relationships with weird personalities would be scandalising to read. Here, Ruskin also depicts his routine, his experience in the hills ,encounter with new people building up warm and friendly relationship with them and then going apart.

The story has a gory part as well which can spook one out with disgust. But this book is like a smooth roller coaster ride with various turns some terrific loops, shocks ,etc. Though this book is not at par with the former book I read of his i.e. Time stops at Shamli but still has many interesting stories. The whole feel of all the Ruskin bond books are they make you feel you are closer to the nature that what makes his books unique from others a plus point for this book. It looks like big book in volume because the pages has huge margins. I would recommend this book to people who likes to read  scandalous or controversies kind of novels ,weird royal families,  something related to the hills of India with a mix of interesting story within,a fan of Ruskin Bond and someone who loves to read novels. lolzI would give this book 3 honey bees because I think it was interesting for sure but didn’t have that impact.
