Earth Day Special / An Essay on Environmental Issues, Environmental Consequences and Environment Protection with examples

Image
On the virtue of Earth Day, I thought that lets write a post on the issues related to our environment and how can we prevent them. This post includes my views on them and as a citizen of the world, how we all can come together and fight against such issues. While we all are aware about the increasing rates of pollution as well as population, both cause negative impacts on the earth. Many initiatives had been taken by some have succeeded others have failed due to lack of support. Animals, plants, habitat are getting extinct. The reasons for such circumstances are industrialisation, commercialisation, abducting the lands of animals, pollution caused, etc. Global warming is among the many environmental issues that we face today. It’s the major cause which leads to increase in the sea water levels due to melting down of ice and glaciers in Arctic and  in Antarctica where the impact is the most.

In college, I had got an opportunity of reviewing a book through book review competition. I wanted to review a book and I took advantage of that opportunity and participated for it. Also I thought even if I lose in the competition, it will be beneficial for me because I would get a chance of reading a book and gaining knowledge from it. So only gain and no loss. I saw the list of the books suggested for the competition and they were all written by great personalities, so I chose Dr Abdul Kalam's autobiography book because I wanted to know more about his childhood and his journey throughout his life. An incredible piece of art at Kala Ghoda Festival        The competition was in a presentation form and I stammered first but then it went out great.
